Facebook Impersonation Scam – Video 10 – Most Popular Internet Scams

facebook impersonation

I’m starting to see Facebook impersonation scam more and more these days. This happens when your account gets hacked by a cyber criminal and gaining access to your list of close friends and family. So make sure you watch my video on “how to perform a facebook private checkup” and enable the 2 step verification security feature.

Usually I’ll get contacted by my friend’s hacked account or a fake look-a-like account asking if it’s me in this video or wants to share their lottery winnings with me. And it’s funny though, because I may not have spoken to this contact for 2 years and he wants to share his lottery winnings, yaaa sure !!but thanks for thinking of me. The hacker behind the fake account will insist I click a link or to call a specific guy and not to tell anyone. What can also happen is his link will ask you to sign into facebook, and at that point he’ll see what you typed in and use that information to log into your account and take it over. Usually once people report the hacked profile, Facebook puts it offline within 30 minutes.
